ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ's Student-Run TV Station
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv is a multiple Lone Star EMMY® Student Production Award recipient. The award-winning student-run station is dedicated to providing the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Community with a variety of quality programming that informs and entertains, while promoting the same core values and mission of the University.
Students at ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv produce live newscasts, specialty shows and Spanish segments. Students receive hands-on training in live broadcasting, camera operation, interviewing skills and on-camera performance. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv also provides students with real-life production experience in remote broadcasting and ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ Athletics games.
In 2022, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv was named Best Newscast by the Lone Star EMMY® Student Production Foundation. ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv received the Dr. Marjorie Yambor Signature Station of the year award in 2022. In 2021, ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵtv was awarded “Best Overall Organization” on Campus.
